5 REASONS TO TREAT YOURSELF TO OUR GOZO RETREAT 14-19 AUG

Gozo is the ideal destination for those seeking a relaxed getaway in unspoiled Mediterranean surroundings. The charming sister island of Malta, just 68 km square and yet, full of surprising options.

Join us 14-19th August as we jet off to the heart of the Mediterranean Sea for our 5 star, all-inclusive barre retreat. Here are 5 top reasons to join the adventures...

1. GET THE ULTIMATE ATTENTION TO YOUR TECHNIQUE IN INTIMATE BARRE CLASSES

Receive lots of personal attention with small group classes and three Barrecore teachers who will be putting you through your paces each day - including Barrecore founder Niki Rein and Head of Teacher Training Gemma Bass-Williams who will help you get the most out your daily classes.

2. ENJOY PRIVATE ACCESS TO LAGOONS, BEACHES AND TEMPLES - MAKING FOR UNUSUAL BARRE CLASS SETTINGS

The crystal clear waters of the Blue Lagoon, on the neighbouring island of Comino, have to be seen to be believed. We’ll be taking a private boat to the Blue Lagoon for an early swim before the crowds arrive, followed by a coastal boat tour of Gozo for more swimming opportunities.

The Ġgantija Temples are a megalithic temple complex from the Neolithic period and more than 5500 years old: older than the Egyptian pyramids. We’ll have exclusive access for a private tour followed by a class overlooking the Temples themselves.

We'll also visit Gozo’s Citadel, which had its foundations built in the Roman era. After a short tour, we’ll have exclusive access to the bastions of the castle for a special private dinner.

3. RELAX IN A 5 STAR HIDEAWAY LUXURY HOTEL

Set amidst 30,000 sqm of semi-tropical gardens, with an award-winning spa and beautiful outdoor swimming pool, you will enjoy your own private hotel room and all the 5 star comforts you could desire at the internationally renowned Kempinski Hotel San Lawrenz Gozo.

A premier resort in the heart of the Mediterranean, Kempinski Hotel San Lawrenz is located close to the iconic ‘Dwejra Bay’ on Malta’s idyllic sister island Gozo. As a 5‐star hideaway resort it provides the highest levels of service. The hotel features 140 elegant rustic rooms and suites and its authentic Ayurveda Centre is one of the largest in the Mediterranean.

4. INDULGE WITH THE FINEST WINE AND FOOD THAT GOZO HAS TO OFFER

Enjoy a specially curated picnic dinner, overlooking the 350-year-old salt pans, which stretch 3km along the coast of Gozo.

We'll also be finding the balance, with the sampling of some globally renowned wine from the Ta Mena estate. Local wines are winning global awards, but aren’t exported as they’re produced in such small quantities; you have to visit the Islands to try them. This local estate will give you plenty of opportunities to try their wines and other delicacies created from their farm produce like sun dried tomato paste and pear balsamic vinegar.

You will dine at Ta Frenc, Gozo's award-winning fine dining restaurant set in an old farmhouse surrounded by beautiful country views of Xaghra, Zebbug & Marsalforn.

You will also dine at critically acclaimed Ta Philip, whose delicious local cuisine and warm hospitality attract not only the most discerning tourists, but also celebrity visitors who leave their photos on his wall. The Duchess of Sussex even visited a few years ago while she was on the Island researching her Maltese ancestry

5. REVEL IN MALTA’S HISTORY & BEAUTY

Our unique retreat will allow you to enjoy spectacular coastlines and beautiful towns. You'll visit Valletta, Malta’s capital city which was last year’s European Capital of Culture. It’s the smallest capital in Europe, the sunniest city in Europe and a UNESCO World Heritage Site filled with over 365 historical sites. You'll explore some of the city’s highlights - including the famous St Johns Co-Cathedral - and enjoy lunch on the waterfront at Capo Crudo.

Surrounded by a valley, the red sand and clear water, you'll also relax in Ramla Bay, voted one of the world's top 100 beaches, and take a dive in the second-best diving spot in the world.
