ON IN LONDON: BARRECORE REVIEW

Barrecore Review

Barrecore, London’s leading boutique barre workout, recently opened a brand-new studio on Islington’s Upper Street on 22nd February. ONIN.London attended the launch and tried out the dance inspired workout favoured by Jourdan Dunn, Rita Ora and Pippa Middleton – all vocal fans of Barrecore.

We were lucky enough to have founder and celebrity trainer Niki Rein, herself give us a workout we were feeling days later. Niki taught us that “Barrecore is a low-intensity workout which incorporates a fat-burning format of interval training, making it kind on the body but incredibly effective. The Barrecore method is about exhausting each major muscle group, with static stretches which lengthen and strengthen the body from top to toe. It’s also a hugely enjoyable workout to do one-to-one or in a group environment.”

For someone like me who really struggles with Yoga poses or high intensity fitness because of Astmha , I really enjoyed this work out. I couldn’t believe the low-intensity moves had me sweating and every single muscle shaking. It was so good and had me hoping Barrecore would open up a studio in North West London, which is a little closer to home.

During the launch weekend, the studio was open to all with complimentary drinks, special offers on barre classes, mini-manicures, professional fitness consultations and goodie bags. We were lucky enough to take one of these bags home with us and loved the healthy snacks inside.

In terms of the studio itself, every expense has not been spared and it felt like a safe and fun place that women could work out and support each other to be the best they could be.
